Drivers opting for environmentally-friendly car insurance policies may find themselves out of pocket, a new study reveals.
Findings by moneysupermaket.com suggest that by choosing green cover motorists could pay up to 44 per cent more compared to standard premiums.
Richard Mason, director of insurance for the price comparison website, said: “Drivers are increasingly concerned about their impact on the environment and in an effort to ‘go green’ many may be tempted to opt for eco-friendly car insurance.”
